Założenia (opisowo): | The course is directed to students with an interest in contemporaty climatological research. The student should have skills related to the preparation of oral presentation. Basic knowledge of Earth Sciences is also required. |

The classes gives general information about trends in contemorary climatological research. The student will learn the most important issues related to climate change and its impact on other sectors of human activity (e.g. health, energy, spatial planning). |
Pełny opis: |
The following topics will be discussed during the course: - Influence of climate on work and living conditions in urban area. - Light pollution as a new trend in climatological research. - Climatological conditions for the development of renewable energy sources. - Air quality in urban areas. - Heat waves in Europe - more intense, more fequent and longer lasting in 21st century. - The impact of climate change on agriculture. We will start with a discussion about the most important climatological problems in the modern world. After the discussion, the participants will be able to propose their own topics that they would like to take up during the classes. 15 hours of working in class are required to complete the course. Also student need. In additional time, the student has to prepare an oral presentation. |

K_W02, K_W03, K_W07, K_U04, K_U10, K_K03, K_K06 Knowledge of: - trends in contemporary climatological research - basic information about climate change - basic information about climatologcial stimuli (light, pollution, temperature) - give examples of adaptation and mitigation of climate change in different areas of life and human activity Ability to: - explain influence of weather on humans - characterise polish and EU climate-energy policy - find information from applied climatology Student workload: 3 ECTS = 3 × 25h = 75h (in direct contact 1.5 ECTS) (N) – work in direct contact with the teacher, (S) – student's own (independent) work. • Classes = 15h (N) • Consultations = 10h (N) • Independent preparation for oral presentation = 25h (S) • Independent preparation for discoussion = 25h (S) TOTAL = approx. 75 hours |
