Założenia (opisowo): | (tylko po angielsku) The seminar is designed as a discuss-forum class for students interested in bioarchaeology and its application in archaeological interpretations. Students are working on their respective research topics, some of them are also working on their MA thesis. |

(tylko po angielsku) The seminar in Bioarchaeology encompasses subjects of the application of bioarchaeological approach in the archaeological interpretation. Students have a possibility to apply their knowledge in actual research topics related to archeology. |

(tylko po angielsku) The seminar is a discuss-forum for students performing research in bioarchaeology. The subjects to be discussed depend on the topics chosen by students. The main focus of the seminar however is the MA thesis preparation. The requirements and the ways how to work on the thesis are very important part of the seminar. Each student proposes a topic and presents all the stages of the research performed, from the bibliographical research, through the material analysis and interpretation, until the actual thesis text presentation. |

Efekty uczenia się: |
(tylko po angielsku) The main effect of the seminar is the MA thesis text, to be defended after the completion of the program of studies. However, students will posses knowledge on bioarchaeology and its relation to archaeology (K_W03, K_W04) and will be able to see and apply scientific methods into the research (K_W10). Will also be able to disseminate the results of research, both in the academia and for wider public (K_U10, K_U11, K_U12). Will accept the different points of view on the same material, and the importance of bioarchaeological research in the development of archaeology (K_K05, K_K12). |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
(tylko po angielsku) The grading will be based on the following: - public presentation of student's research - progress in the research and thesis creation - participation in the discussions on the projects and literature. The final passing grade (after the 2nd year of seminar) will be granted after the submission of the thesis. |
