Seminar covers issues related to cultures of Ancient Near and Middle East (from the Persian Plateau, Mesopotamia, to Levant, and from Anatolia to the mouth of the Ganges) from the Bronze Age to the end of the reign of the Sassanids in the Middle East and Mesopotamia and the era of Hellenistic in the Syro- Palestine and Anatolia. In the current academic year, we will discuss new archaeological discoveries, new techniques and research approaches and, their impact on the reconstruction of ancient cultural systems of societies of these regions. |
